The PMD-3030 was developed for the military for mapping and cartography purposes. The PMD-3030 is supplied in two configurations: one with commercial grade electronics and paint, and the other meeting full military specification. Both units have passed full vibration and shock testing.

 

The unit was designed to indicate multiple targets quickly using a single LED. The internal electronics are of modular construction and are fully qualified for ease of service. All military personnel know the value of their paper map. Our device ties any computer operation to the map, resulting in a familiar and readily accepted system. Typical uses would be: locating enemy fire, tracking friendly ship positions or tracking drone flight paths.

 

The PMD-3030 was designed to display a position on a paper map. The drive unit, fully contained within the PMD housing, positions an ultra bright LED behind the map and shows the exact coordinate specified from a computer system via standard HPGL commands. The map is sandwiched between two sheets of plastic which secures it in the correct position. User supplied software is written to orient and qualify the map.
